My KYC status says “Verified”, what does it mean?
It means that your KYC has been verified by our system or manual review team. There is nothing further that you need to do for the KYC process.

My KYC status says “Processing”, what does it mean?
It means that our system is currently checking the KYC information and KYC documents that you uploaded. It may take up to an hour for your status to change. You may check back shortly.

My KYC status says “On Hold”, what does it mean?
It means that your KYC profile is under manual review. Please note that due to the high volume of customer claims, it may take up to 2 weeks to complete manual review.
Please also note that you may be contacted by one of our KYC support team members via email for additional requests.
The KYC support team will NOT request ID documents and/or proof of address via email. You will always be prompted to upload those documents directly on the KYC page of the claims portal.

My KYC status says “Undergoing Review”, what does it mean?
This reflects claims undergoing further review. Please note that due to the high volume of customer claims, it may take more than 30 business days to complete this review.

My KYC status says “Document Requested”, what does it mean?
It means that you have been asked for additional KYC information / documents. You should click the “Begin KYC” link and provide the requested information / documents accordingly.

What happens if my KYC status says “Failed”?
It means that we were not able to verify the documentation you provided to us or otherwise you have not passed our KYC / AML / Sanction screening process.
Please note that holders of claims who submit the requested KYC Information which is unable to be verified or has otherwise not passed the KYC / AML / Sanction screening process, shall be deemed “Failed”. With respect to all such Customer Claims that failed the KYC verification process, the Debtors may, either (i) allow such claims without the requested KYC Information or (ii) object to the allowance of such Customer Claims’ proofs of claim and scheduled claims on an omnibus basis, on notice to all such holders, including, among other bases, of insufficient documentation, and request such holders submit the requested KYC Information. In the event of such objection, such holders of Customer Claims may have the opportunity to submit the requested KYC Information to the Debtors to resolve the objection on such claim relating to the requested KYC Information.

My portal access had been disabled for KYC reasons. What does it mean?
It means that you did not commence the KYC submission process by the March 1, 2025 deadline approved by the bankruptcy court pursuant to the Order Sustaining Debtors’ One Hundred Thirtieth (Non-Substantive) Omnibus Objection to Unverified Customer Entitlement Claims [D.I. 29464] (the “Order”). In the event that the Original Holder of an Unverified Claim listed on Schedule 1 attached to the Order does not commence the KYC submission process with respect to such Unverified Claim on or prior the deadline, the Order states that such Unverified Claim shall be disallowed and expunged in its entirety. Please note that the FTX Recovery Trust may modify your KYC status if information becomes available that warrants such change but your claim will not be expunged on the basis of the Order if you have commenced the KYC process and completed all KYC submissions by the applicable deadlines.
I have started the KYC process but have not completed it. When does my KYC submission need to be completed?
The deadline to submit all KYC information requested by the FTX Recovery Trust or its KYC vendors is June 1, 2025 as approved by the bankruptcy court pursuant to the Order Sustaining Debtors’ One Hundred Thirtieth (Non-Substantive) Omnibus Objection to Unverified Customer Entitlement Claims [D.I. 29464] (the “Order”). In the event that the Original Holder of an Unverified Claim listed on Schedule 1 attached to the Order does not submit all requested KYC information on or prior the deadline, such Unverified Claim shall be disallowed and expunged in its entirety.
