How do I select a Distribution Service Provider?
Within the FTX Customer Portal, Step 8 in the process is “Distributions: Select Agent.” In this section you will find a listing of the available Distribution Service Providers based on your country of residence and brief descriptions on the offerings each provides. Once a selection is made, you will be prompted to agree to a disclaimer and be routed to that Distribution Service Provider’s landing page in order to complete onboarding.
Note: All Creditors must complete their KYC (Step 3) and Tax Compliance (Step 7) prior to selecting and onboarding with a Distribution Service Provider. Once you have onboarded with a Distribution Service Provider, this selection cannot be changed. The e-mail address used to register with the Distribution Service Provider must match your registered FTX Customer Portal e-mail address.
Which options are available for selecting a Distribution Service Provider?
Currently, BitGo and Kraken are available as Distribution Service Providers. There may be additional options that become available at which time this page will be updated accordingly, and an announcement will be made on the @FTX_Official X.com account.
Which Distribution Service Providers are available based on my jurisdiction?
The Distribution Service Provider options shown to you are based on the residence information you previously provided. There is a drop-down menu of other jurisdictions if you wish to change your jurisdiction options. The ultimate eligibility to onboard with the Distribution Service Provider will be decided by the Distribution Service Provider during the onboarding process on their website. If a Distribution Service Provider is unable to service your jurisdiction, your distribution will be deferred to a later date.
For U.S. residents: BitGo is not available in NY. Kraken is not available in NY, WA, ME.
Can I split my distribution across multiple Distribution Service Providers?
No, your distributions must be routed through one Distribution Service Provider.
Can I change my Distribution Service Provider after making a selection?
No, once you make a selection your choice is final.
What payment methods does each Distribution Service Provider offer?
All distributions are made in U.S. dollars (fiat). Below are some options available for each Distribution Service Provider, subject to applicable laws and regulations of your respective jurisdiction:
BitGo:
- Ability to purchase digital assets / stablecoin
- Withdraw USD fiat using ACH (U.S. only) or wire transfer
- Withdraw digital assets to their personal digital asset wallets
Kraken:
- Ability to purchase digital assets / stablecoin
- Withdraw fiat via SWIFT, SEPA, domestic FedWire, and ACH, featuring varying fees, minimums, and processing times tailored to each method and region.
- Withdraw digital assets to their personal digital asset wallets
What are the costs associated with selecting a specific Distribution Service Provider?
The fees vary based on the Distribution Service Provider:
BitGo (Retail):
- Fiat: Withdraw USD via Wire ($30) or ACH [U.S. only] ($1) per transfer
- Digital Asset: Trade USD for stablecoins (up to 10 bps) or other assets (up to 50 bps)
BitGo (Institutional):
- Fiat: Withdraw USD via Wire ($30) or ACH [U.S. only] ($1) per transfer
- Digital Asset: Trade USD for stablecoins or other assets (up to 10 bps)
- Digital Asset: Custody digital assets free for the first 6 months (1.25 bps/month thereafter)
Kraken (Retail):
- Fiat: Withdraw various fiat currencies at various costs. Review associated fees here
- Digital Asset: Trade USD for stablecoins or other assets. Review associated fees here and here

If I already have an account with a Distribution Service Provider, do I need to make a new one? How do I link my account to receive a distribution?
You do not need to make a new account. Once you make your Distribution Service Provider selection you will be redirected to their landing page where you can follow the prompts to log in and link your existing account.
Please note that your FTX Customer Portal email must match your Distribution Service Provider account email. If your email address is different, please either change it on the FTX Customer Portal or at the Distribution Service Provider so it matches.
Can I change Distribution Service Providers after selecting and onboarding with one?
Please ensure you take the time to review the applicable Distribution Service Provider options that are available prior to ultimately making your selection. Once you select a Distribution Service Provider, you will be expected to continue through onboarding and subsequent distributions with that Agent unless there are unforeseen circumstances where the Distribution Service Provider is not able to successfully onboard or make distributions. I am unable to sign up with one of the Distribution Service Providers due to my jurisdiction, what do I do?
If you are in a jurisdiction that is not currently supported by available Distribution Service Providers, please continue to check the FTX Customer Portal and your email for notifications as additional Distribution Service Providers will be added to ensure you are able to receive your claim.
I have an existing account at one of the Distribution Service Providers but my jurisdiction on the FTX Customer Portal says it is not available for distributions. Why?
The FTX Debtors have engaged Distribution Service Providers to facilitate distributions in certain eligible jurisdictions. As of January 16, 2025, the following jurisdictions are not eligible for distributions and creditors resident in those jurisdictions cannot select Distribution Service Providers in the FTX Customer Portal. The FTX Debtors are continuing to assess eligible jurisdictions, and the FTX Customer Portal will be updated in due course for any additional eligible jurisdictions.

How much has been reserved from distributions?
The Order Establishing the Amount of the Disputed Claims Reserve includes a $6.5 billion Reserve Amount on account of all Disputed Claims.
Will any amounts from the reserves be distributed to creditors?
As outlined in the Order Establishing the Amount of the Disputed Claims Reserve, the Plan Administrator will file on the docket a “Notice of Adjustment of Disputed Claims Reserve Amount” that will provide the proposed adjustment to the Reserve Amount
How much will I receive in subsequent distributions?
On each Subsequent Distribution Date, the Plan Administrator shall direct the Distribution Service Provider to make Distributions with Cash on hand net of reserves, as determined by the Plan Administrator and the Wind Down Board. How much of my claim amount should I have received on the Initial Distribution Date?
Distributions made on the Initial Distribution Date will be to Holders of Allowed Claims in the Plan’s convenience class, the Distribution Service Provider shall commence Distributions under the Plan on account of each Claim that is Allowed on or prior to the Effective Date. When will I receive my distribution?
Initial distributions will be made to Holders of Allowed Claims in the Plan’s convenience class within 60 days following the Effective Date (January 3, 2025) in accordance with the Plan. Subsequent distributions will be made at the discretion of the Plan Administrator. For more information, please refer to the Plan of Reorganization (link to Kroll docket here).
How can I confirm that all KYC and tax verification have been completed?
Within the FTX Customer Portal, you will see approvals for both KYC and tax verification once the review has been completed through a green checkmark.
How can I confirm that I am fully onboarded with my Distribution Service Provider?
Within the FTX Customer Portal, you will see “Onboarding Complete” for Step 8 to indicate you have completed all onboarding with your Distribution Service Provider.

What are the cut-off dates for the Initial Distribution and who is included?
Initial distributions will only be made to allowed claims that have satisfied pre-distribution requirements by the cut-off dates described below.
In order to be recognized as a holder of an allowed claim in the Plan's Convenience Classes on the initial distribution record date (January 3, 2025), a creditor must meet the requirements under section 2.1.8 of the confirmed Plan. For the avoidance of doubt, this includes the original holder of such claim satisfying the KYC verification requirements by January 3, 2025.
Holders of allowed claims in the Plan’s Convenience Classes on the initial distribution record date (January 3, 2025) will have until January 20, 2025 to complete the pre-distribution requirements, which include submitting a completed tax form (step 7), selecting and successfully onboarding with a distribution service provider (step 8) and passing sanctions screening.
Subject to the terms of the Plan, including but not limited to Sections 7.8 and 7.14, summarized below, creditors who fail to meet the cut-off dates will not receive a distribution on the initial distribution date. Late completions will receive distributions in the subsequent months.
Please be aware that pursuant to section 7.8 of the confirmed Plan, holders of allowed claims in the Plan’s Convenience Classes may forfeit their right to distributions if pre-distribution requirement are not completed within six months of the initial distribution record date.
Please also be aware that pursuant to section 7.14 of the confirmed Plan, holders of allowed claims in the Plan’s Convenience Classes may receive a request to complete certain pre-distribution requirements and will be required to do so within the timeframe provided or forfeit their distribution.
I have an agreement that my distribution proceeds will be diverted to a third party, how do I confirm where funds will be sent?
As articulated in the Plan, distributions will be made to only to holders of Allowed Claims as of the applicable Distribution Record Date by the Distribution Service Provider, as appropriate. Any mechanisms to divert funds to a third party have to be facilitated between the buyer and seller after distributions are completed to the official holders of record.
I have multiple FTX accounts across various platforms all with the same email address, how do I connect my accounts with the Distribution Service Provider?
If all of your FTX accounts utilize the same address, you only need to link one FTX account to your Distribution Service Provider account. All FTX accounts associated with a single email address will be linked together for purposes of remitting funds from FTX to the Distribution Service Provider, and you will only need to have one Distribution Service Provider account. However, please note, you will still need to complete KYC and Tax verification for each individual account to be eligible to receive a distribution.
